Biography

In 1979, I played Linus in the Charlie Brown Christmas Special at my public school.  In the audience was a talent scout and he talked to my parents and then the rest was history.  I started doing theater productions around town as a child and I loved every minute of it.  It came as a shock to my parents as I was a sports junkie.  I then started doing a few commercials and then I broke into television with an episode of The Littlest Hobo.  I continued to take theatre classes and land acting roles throughout high school.  I ended up going to York University, University of Toronto, and Windsor University where I focused on Drama and English.  Once I graduated, I concentrated on writing and acting.  I have written two books.  One is a relationship book called 52 Weeks “The perfect relationship Handbook”, and the other is a children’s book called “Pasta Again”.  When I met David Cronenberg on set my life changed.  He encouraged me to learn directing because he thought I would get bored with acting.  What it did was make me appreciate everyone’s role in making a project.  From that moment, I worked on directing and producing and thankfully I got my opportunity to direct on my own at Tricon Film and Television.  Restaurant Makeover was a joy to produce and direct and on that show I learned what it took to be a leader on and off set.  I became the “go to guy” for lifestyle shows at Tricon and relished in the responsibility.  Now I direct and produce for films and television.  Currently I am in post production for two films and I am a lead on an upcoming series called Insecurity.
